Program Purpose:
I-You Venture's Holiday Helpers generously purchase gifts for residents in care facilities throughout our community. Each gift is wrapped, labeled and ready to be delivered. Holiday Helpers work throughout the year to prepare for each holiday season.
History:
This program was created to make the holiday season joyous for care facility residents. The volunteers of I-You Venture understand the positive difference it makes to a resident's spirit to receive a gift during the holiday season. Recognizing and filling this need is what our Holiday Helpers do while sharing their holiday season with the residents.
Service Description:
Make the holiday season a positive one for the often forgotten care facility residents throughout our community.
Gifts are to be dropped off to the I-You Venture staff after the Thanksgiving holiday and before December 14th, at our Santa Cruz address: 104 Walnut Avenue, suite 208.
Gift suggestions: women's and men's socks, slippers,
shirts, lap blankets, combs, brushes, cards, games, stuffed animals, lotions and after shaves, etc.
Please contact us if you would like to become a Holiday Helper and share the joy of the holidays by purchasing gifts for care facility residents, or by providing funds for one of our Holiday Helper shoppers to purchase on your behalf.
